I am bereft.

The only UK supplier of Le Dame shoes now seems not to be a supplier of them any more. I'm going to have to go all the way to Madison, Wisconsin for my size 15s. Can I really be the only person amongst the entire transgendered spectrum, not to mention the occasional genetic lady of height, with feet this size?
Ah well, better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all I suppose.

  2. Oh Jenny! That is terrible.

    Thank goodness there's FED-EX.

Unless of course, you get to know a boot-maker, and start your own line over there? Is this a business opportunity? In such a large population base, as you say, you cannot be the only classy lady with 15's.

Just looking for any bright side here.

    Hugs,

Dru, what a find! So apropos...

Jenny, even better, why not become the U.K. distributor?

  4. Nice one Dru, you've just had me foot-tapping away in an office lunch hour. Let's hope it remains in my brain for less time than your last musical interlude!

Fed-ex? Better than that, I have a mate in Madison who for a few pints of Old Hooky can probably be prevailed upon to pick them up and bring 'em over for me next time he's UK-bound. Not out to him yet...

I have located a specialist cobbler and at some point I'll shell out for a made-to-measure last. I know enough about business from the line of work I spend my days pursuing to know that despite having lots of pretty shoes to look at my fortune would not be made shifting them on.

  5. You have my sympathies, Jenny. When I'm lucky (very lucky) I can squeeze into a US size 12, but I have long toes, and my big toe needs a toe box with some height to it, so no skinny tapering toes for me. Most of the time I need a size 13. The choices are drastically reduced, when you pass a size ten, and extremely reduced passed a size 12.

  6. I'm so with you on the declining range as you go up a size thing.

In bloke shoes I can often squeeze into a 14. There are many more ladies 14s available, but I'll have to sometime find my way to a specialist shop to see if I can fit them. Whether or not they are made of glass I have no idea :)
